The Office Manager oversees Human Resource and Office Management functions within all departments, reporting to the Executive Director. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrolments, changes, and terminations
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers for accurate record keeping and proper deductions
  • Provide customer service by answering employee questions and resolving issues
  • Recommend new policies and procedures to improve company efficiency
  • Conduct audits and recommend corrective action
  • Assist with recruitment, interview process, and performance reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, finance, business management, or business administration
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, payroll, and not-for-profit society
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and diversity management
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently
  • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
  • Professional appearance and manners

Working Conditions:

  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
