Back Up Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Setup Technician to join our team at Magna International Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing parts and assemblies for shipment to customers, meeting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measures for quality and performance.


Key Responsibilities

• Utilize tools and equipment to assemble parts within customer specifications

• Ensure established OEE quality, availability, and performance standards are achieved within designated cells and workstations

• Maintain safety standards within designated cells and workstations

• Ensure standard work and associated tools are utilized to meet standards

• Conduct quality control checks on parts using provided tools

• Collaborate with Production Supervisor, Cell Leader, Quality Control personnel, and other operators on quality and safety concerns


Requirements

• Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail is essential

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Ability to work under general supervision with some judgment allowed in applying specific guidelines for work
