Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at The Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing quality nursing care to residents, promoting independent living, and supporting the Resident Care Team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide quality nursing care to residents, including assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and promoting independent living.
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor resident outcomes, intervene as necessary, and reassess and adjust care plans as needed.
- Supervise and support Personal Care Attendants, as required.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL).
- Current BLS certification.
- Gerontology experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of seniors' issues and support best practice in gerontological care.
- Ability to deal effectively with end-of-life issues.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently.
