Job Summary: Billing Coordinator responsible for client billing, data entry, and administrative tasks to support client billing goals.
The Billing Coordinator plays a crucial role in the accounting department, working closely with the Accounting Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely client billing. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Process client billings, including drafting and finalizing invoices, billing analysis, and data entry of client disbursements.
- Prepare and print monthly Proformas for lawyers.
- Assist with year-end audit and answer billing-related inquiries from lawyers or assistants.
- Maintain client billing information updated in firm's ERP (3E).
- Perform miscellaneous billing duties, including write-offs, transfers of WIP, and revaluation of WIP due to currency fluctuations.
- Required Knowledge and Experience:
- College diploma in Accounting with a minimum of one year of related experience.
- 3-5 years' experience preferred, with law firm experience considered an asset.
- General knowledge of accounting, professional services billing process, e-billing, and task code usage.
- Knowledge of legal and accounting terminology.
- Proficiency with computer software programs, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and working knowledge of Elite 3E and Webview.
