About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Provincial Manager - Intake Mental Health and Addictions Program (MHAP), the Clinical Practice Leader is responsible to support interdisciplinary collaborative practice by working across disciplines and service locations to provide leadership and mentorship on the development of clinical skill sets that are as identified as priorities within the MHAP. The Provincial Clinical Practice Leader provides supportive leadership, clinical oversight, consultation, job orientation, education, quality assurance and initiatives for clinical staff within Provincial MHAP Intake in liaison with the zone clinical team leads . The Clinical Practice Lead remains knowledgeable of resources to ensure the best care.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Current registration or eligibility with the applicable licensing board required
  • Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Occupational Therapy required
  • Five years recent/continuous job related experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the DSM V diagnostic classification system
  • Supervisory experience
  • Adult Education training experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in team building and working from an interdisciplinary approach. Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Clinical Nursing Practice, with an integrated focus on safety, quality care and clinical excellence
  • Demonstrated experience in policy development and implementation
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills in a pressure situation required
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificate or equivalent required or willing to complete
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Temporary Full Time position; 75 hours bi weekly
  • Assignment Duration Approximately 12 months, dates approximate and subject to change
  • May required occasional evening shifts until 8pm and daytime holiday hours
  • Travel within the province is required
  • Location flexible within the province
Compensation and Incentives

$44.36- $51.73 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
