About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Practice Lead to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Provincial Mental Health and Addictions Program, you will play a critical role in supporting interdisciplinary collaborative practice and providing leadership and mentorship on the development of clinical skill sets.

About You
  • Current registration or eligibility with the applicable licensing board is required.
  • Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Five years of recent/continuous job-related experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the DSM V diagnostic classification system is required.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Adult Education training experience is required.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability in team building and working from an interdisciplinary approach is required.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills are required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Clinical Nursing Practice, with an integrated focus on safety, quality care, and clinical excellence is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy development and implementation is required.
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a pressure situation are required.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health are required.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificate or equivalent is required or willing to complete.
  • Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred.
Hours
  • This is a long assignment full-time position, 75 hours biweekly.
  • Assignment duration is approximately 12 months, dates approximate and subject to change.
  • May require occasional evening shifts until 8pm and daytime holiday hours.
  • Travel within the province is required.
  • Location is flexible within the province.
Compensation and Incentives

$44.36-$51.73 Hourly
