Clinical Therapist Position

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our Adult Service team in Mental Health and Addictions. As a member of our team, you will provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. You will carry out general duties of the Adult Service team, participate in quality initiatives, engage in collaborative person-centred care, and utilize available information technology to support best practice.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline, current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body, and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders. You should have experience in providing individual and group evidence-informed therapies, collaborating with families, and crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in multiple software applications.
Hours and CompensationThis is a full-time long-assignment position with a hybrid work schedule. The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan. The hourly rate for this position is $49.05, with the option to be placed on the Clinical Therapist (Dev) HTH130 scale for candidates with less than two years' experience.
