Scope:

The Account Manager is De Nora Tech's primary customer contact for high performing electrodes used in electrochemical applications such as surface finishing, corrosion/cathodic protection, and electrowinning. Responsible for managing all activities at each assigned customer. Independently manage all territorial sales and tech service issues, recommending and deploying the appropriate support personnel/mechanism in a timely and efficient manner. Develop and maintain relationships at all levels of customer organization. Emphasize liaison with customer technical personnel in the design, implementation, and remediation of De Nora products. Advise De Nora management of the scope and status of customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction on a plant-by-plant basis, updated continuously. The Account Manager is responsible for preparing and meeting the annual sales plan as well as creating selling opportunities in the future by ensuring that customers' are exposed to appropriate De Nora products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide input into the annual financial plan, two financial forecasts and monitors progress to the plan on a monthly basis.
  • Provide input into the development of 5yr financial plans for product lines. Prepares the actual text and necessary back-up documentation to the plan.
  • Recommend, or approve based on limit of authority, inventory levels for Titanium and Precious Metals for combined product lines within DNOx. Communicate forecasted needs for this inventory and supporting justifications to Supply Management.
  • Prepare/send quotations and negotiate purchase orders from customers following pricing, specifications, terms and conditions guidelines previously approved.
  • Prepare and make presentations to customers that generate sales, solve problems and/or demonstrate proper usage of De Nora products.
  • Recommend trade shows to attend, coordinate attendance and booth logistics and follow-up on leads generated.
  • Provide assistance to Inside Sales in communicating and resolving issues with customers on Account Receivable issues.
  • Coordinate with Sales Staff to provide Production with updated sales forecasts.
  • Directly responsible for the management of all license and distributorship agreements in cathodic protection.
  • Review and recommend appropriate strategy to maximize penetration of market and profits.
  • Assist in negotiation and directly responsible for the management of all long-term contracts.
  • Represent DNOx Sales in monthly Sale Operations & Planning and weekly production meetings.
  • Review, coordinate and communicate website inquiries for DNOx group
  • Directs preparation and planning of Sales meetings and training opportunities for sales group.
  • Assist Business Manager with advertising plans, product literature preparation and updates, and other promotional and marketing activities as required.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, especially regarding customer interaction. In addition to external communications, incumbent will occasionally be required to provide written or oral information to the Corporation's executive staff.
  • Requires a "team player" approach in order to develop and execute strategies through matrixed groups in DNT.
  • Requires good relationship building skills to develop and maintain relationships with distributors, licensees and customers.
  • Some domestic and/or international travel may be required in this position, in the range of 30-50% with autonomy.
  • Requires the ability to understand and assimilate disparate company functions such as manufacturing, purchasing, accounting, sales and technical groups.



Education & Professional Experience:
  • BS in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administation
  • Must be computer proficient including the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience
