Controller Job Description

GGFL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic Operations Team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing our firm's accounting, working closely with our COO/CINO and Partners, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the Finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure the integrity of our financial data.
  • Work closely with the Partners and other members of the Operations Team to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
  • Provide regular financial analysis and reporting to support business planning and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with a strong background in partnership and small business corporation accounting.
  • 3+ years of management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, with an accounting designation an asset.
  • Bilingualism an asset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
