Job Title: Truck Driver - Join Modern Niagara's team as a Truck Driver and play a vital role in delivering tools and equipment to job sites across Canada.

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our team in Ottawa. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering tools and equipment to job sites, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to safe driving procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tools and equipment to job sites within the designated region while following safe driving procedures
  • Direct and coordinate the maintenance and repair of incoming tools from various job sites
  • Receive, unpack, and conduct inventory checks for incoming tools and equipment, inspecting items for quality control and defects
  • Open, fulfill, and close work orders
  • Maintain a clean workspace
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Pack tool orders for site delivery
  • Adhere to delivery and maintenance procedures and ensure equipment and truck are in good working condition

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid minimum restricted A license with a clean driver's abstract and 2+ years of verifiable driving experience
  • Towing experience is necessary to be successful in this role
  • Experience in a shop and with truck driving
  • Preferably a background in the construction industry and tool processing
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organization skills
  • Understanding of common warranty terms and issues
  • A clear understanding of what drives a successful service shop operations
  • A self-starter with a dedicated work ethic, who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Desire and ability to foster a safe, positive, and productive shop environment
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet physical demands and essential functions of the job:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (occasionally 50-75 lbs.)
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing, kneeling, and crouching required
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, as required
