Your Contribution

As a Geotechnical Engineer, this candidate will work in collaboration with the Geotechnical Department, report to the Team Lead, and support a wide variety of projects. This role will be, but not limited to:

Conducting and leading geotechnical engineering designs, managing project schedules and budgets, preparing proposals and cost estimatesWriting and/or reviewing geotechnical reports, specifications, and other deliverables related to a variety of geotechnical projects including low and high-rise buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, slope stability and erosion risk assessment studies, and subdivision developmentDesigning project specific field investigation programmes and laboratory testing programmes to meet the deliverable requirementsConducting Slope stability analysis and geotechnical designs to meet the regulatory requirements for Conservation Authorities and other government agenciesTo sign and seal geotechnical reports; mentoring junior engineers/EITs and technicians; reviewing proposals and reports prepared by junior engineers/EITs,Liaising regularly with clients (contractors, developers including government and regulatory agencies) to ensure project requirements are met with respect to deliverable requirements, schedule and budgets, billingFostering client relationships throughout the project life cycle including acting in a technical advisory roleTo promote and market Terraprobe's services by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Your Profile

P.Eng. License with Professional Engineers of Ontario with 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineeringExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Valid G class driver's licence; comfortable driving within and outside the GTAStrong collaborative and independent working skillsExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; experience report writingDemonstrated interest and sensitivity towards occupational health and safetyComfortable with occasional out of town travel for project related works as requiredProven commitment to providing excellent client service and enjoy working in a team environment and independently
