Nokia IP/DWDM Senior Engineer

As a Nokia IP/DWDM Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the IP and optical networks using Nokia’s equipment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness, efficiency, and scalability of our core network operations.

Responsibilities

· Design and deploy Nokia IP/MPLS and DWDM networks, specifically utilizing Nokia 7250 IXR-R, 7750 SR, and PSS-1830 family products.

· Conduct detailed network planning, design, and configuration to meet the project's fiber build specifications.

· Provide advanced technical support for IP and optical network infrastructure.

· Troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure minimal downtime.

· Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure alignment with the overall project goals.

· Prepare technical documentation, including network designs, configurations, and operational guidelines.

· Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and integrate best practices in network infrastructure management.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, specifically with Nokia products such as 7250 IXR-R6, 7750 SR, and PSS-1830.

· Proven expertise in IP/MPLS and DWDM technologies.

· Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching principles.

· Experience in managing large-scale telecommunications projects.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Certifications related to Nokia Network Routing Specialist I (NRS I), NRS II, or equivalent are highly desirable.
