Job Summary:
Provide technical support to the Wound Core and Amorphous Core streams. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Engineering Technician will interpret client design drawings, specifications, and core cutting configurations, and translate them into documentation used for costing and manufacture.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Review client design data and ensure that their requirements are adhered to in the most cost-effective manner, and that manufacturing capabilities are considered.Review client requirements/specifications and check for omissions and/or discrepancies.Create Engineering Master reports for client designs using JSC's ERP system software to detail specific instructions and parameters for manufacturing, testing, and packing.Proactively identify risks at the quotation stage and mitigate in consultation with engineers.Provide backup technical support to other JSC value streams as required.Active participation in continuous process improvement projects.Manage & control of assigned projects and their targets.Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of JSC Best Practices, equipment capabilities, client specifications, and types of electrical steels.Keep abreast of developments/technology/trends in the industry.Technical training of colleagues where appropriate.

Qualifications:Diploma in an Engineering Technology or equivalent. Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the JSC organization and its clients.Ability to work in team and capacity to manage own responsibilities with minimal supervision.
