About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Burlington, Canada. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on all facility equipment, conducting regular verification and calibration of critical equipment, and troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance on all facility equipment, including scheduled line downtime and autonomous maintenance.
  • Conduct regular verification and calibration of critical equipment, and participate in QHS&E audits and corrective actions.
  • Define preventive activities on new equipment and evaluate current methods for improvements.
  • Ensure equipment safety devices are intact through inspections and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures throughout the facility, analyzing failures and making suggestions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Support all plant initiatives, including 5S, Safety, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence.
  • Liaise with internal customers, management, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Perform modifications to improve equipment and processes, and install new equipment as required, working in conjunction with Engineering and Automation.
  • Support capital project teams as required.

Requirements

  • Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma, Instrumentation Engineering Technician Diploma, or Electro Technician Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge of PLCs, PC control, and pneumatics.
  • Intermediate PC skills, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong team player and self-starter, high emotional intelligence and stress tolerance.
