We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship Program at the University Health Network. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide expert physical therapy services to cancer patients and families, enhancing their quality of life and promoting optimal recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough physical therapy assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address the unique needs of cancer patients.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our interprofessional team to provide patient-centered care, communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, and support health behavior change.
- Program Development and Participation: Contribute to program planning and development, participate in quality management and research initiatives, and stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices in cancer rehabilitation.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, stay current with industry trends and best practices, and maintain certification and licensure as required.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy (BScPT) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy, preferably in oncology or a related field.
- Registration and Certification: Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and membership with relevant professional associations.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
