Position Overview


The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Registered Kinesiologist to join its team in Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assess patients' physical and functional limitations, collaborating with healthcare professionals and patients' families.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, focusing on optimal functional outcomes.
  • Implement and coordinate treatment plans to improve patients' physical functioning, manage health conditions, and prevent decline.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
  • Contribute to kinesiology and interdisciplinary research activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement and administrative duties to ensure efficient working environments.

Requirements



  • A bachelor's degree in kinesiology or a recognized equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in kinesiology or a related field.
  • Experience managing oncology patients and working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a multi-site academic setting is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Current registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO) and basic cardiac life support training.
