About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Operations Engineer to lead Material Flow Optimization (MFO) Process initiatives in developing and delivering next generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. This position will have a significant impact on both design and process design engineering for Amazon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop and execute detailed roadmaps and technical solutions to drive business results.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations engineering, manufacturing engineering, or project engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.
  • Experience working with and managing third-party vendors.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing.
