Purchasing Specialist, Apparel

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the timely receipt and dispatch of samples
- Coordinate with the marketing team to obtain required images
- Collaborate closely with buyers and the Owned Brands product manager
- Manage the product seeding program across various Owned Brands
- Support Owned Brands buying presentations
- Take high-quality photos of samples for each buyer to create a comprehensive catalogue
- Provide business insights and information relevant to Owned Brands, in collaboration with the Lead OB
- Offer resources for purchasing concerning Owned Brands requests
- Utilize the system inventory directory to sell inventory and manage older stock (discounted) - virtually or physically
- Provide assistance for setting up franchisee shows (if necessary)
- Build integration files with accurate information provided by the OB team (class, color codes, sizing, etc.)
- Ensure the overviews received by the OB team match the integration files
- Offer support to analysts during busy periods
- Provide service to franchisees regarding Owned Brands claims and guarantees
- Perform other tasks as the private label portfolio evolves
Requirements
- DEC in business administration or relevant education/experience
- Fluency in both French and English
- Autonomy, authenticity, and teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong relationship-building skills and a personable demeanor
- Flexibility in a multi-tasking environment
- 1-3 years of retail sales/service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and decision-making skills
- General knowledge of sporting goods products
- Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to remain intuitive in difficult/contentious situations
