Purchasing Specialist for Owned Brands

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the timely receipt and dispatch of samples.
  • Coordinate with the photo and marketing teams to obtain required images.
  • Work closely with buyers and the Owned Brands product manager.
  • Manage the product seeding program across various Owned Brands.
  • Support Owned Brands buying presentations.
  • Take high-quality images of samples for each buyer to create a comprehensive catalogue for franchise buying shows.
  • Provide business strategies and relevant information on Owned Brands in collaboration with the Lead OB.
  • Offer resources for purchasing concerning Owned Brands requests.
  • Sell inventory through the system inventory directory and manage older inventory (discount) – virtually or physically.
  • Provide assistance for setting up franchisee shows (if necessary).
  • Build the integration file with accurate information provided by the OB team (class, color codes, sizing, etc.).
  • Ensure the overviews received by the OB team match the integration files.
  • Be a source of assistance for analysts during busy periods.
  • Offer service to franchisees – Owned Brands claims/guarantees.
  • Perform other tasks based on the evolution of the private label portfolio.

Requirements

  • DEC in business administration or relevant education/experience.
  • Full proficiency in French and English.
  • Autonomy, authenticity, and teamwork player.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, outgoing, and personable.
  • Flexibility in a multi-task environment.
  • 1-3 years of retail sales/service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills.
  • General knowledge of sporting goods products.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to remain intuitive in difficult/contentious situations.
