About the Role

Cencora is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless coordination of patient services, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for patients, gathering information and educating them on program services.
    • Be a reimbursement expert in assigned caseload territories, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of patient services.
    • Educate patients on program services, including injection training, pharmacy options, and reimbursement support.
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient onboarding and ensure rapid access to therapy.
    • Manage all aspects of coverage to maximize and maintain prescription drug coverage.
    • Regularly interact with insurance companies, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals to provide optimal reimbursement support.
    • Coordinate prescriptions (initial and renewal) and report adverse events.
  • Requirements and Qualifications:
    • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset, particularly for the province of Quebec.
    • Experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
    • Post-secondary education certificate, diploma, or degree is an asset.
    • Experience in public or private third-party reimbursement, call center settings, or pharmaceutical industry in sales, managed care, clinical support, or related experience is an asset.
    • Comprehension of medical information and knowledge of public, private, and federal reimbursement is an asset.
    • Previous work using a CRM system and project management skills are assets.
  • Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
    • Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.
    • Detail-oriented and result-driven, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with program associates and work autonomously in a remote setting.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once, communicate effectively, and adapt to change and ambiguity.
    • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
