Due to growth, we are adding an additional Managed Services Technician to our team. This role would be best suited for someone who is looking to kickstart their career in IT and gain a high level of exposure to a broad variety of tasks and projects.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to provide front-line technical support to our customers, helping to get them back to doing what they need to do as quickly as possible. This means taking support tickets via phone and email and maintaining the highest possible level of customer service. You will be responsible for diagnosing, researching, and resolving Tier 1 technical issues, including desktop hardware and software issues, networking issues, and AD/M365 Administration.
You'll be doing lots of deployments - 95% Windows with some Mac support, getting new equipment prepped, out the door, and set up to make someone's day better
You'll also be working with the rest of the technical team to resolve various issues, assisting on projects, and putting out fires.
There is lots of opportunity for growth and development in this role, with various paths forward into different areas of IT.
This is an in-office position in Vancouver, BC. Our team typically works Monday to Friday with flexible start times.
Requirements:
- BCIT diploma or degree in Computing & Information Technology (TSP, NAT), or equivalent level of Industry Certifications & Work Experience
- Exceptional Desktop Support and Troubleshooting skills - Windows OS
- Understanding of basic Networking and Remote Access concepts (WAN/LAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc)
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 Admin Centres
- Active Directory experience
- Exceptional Customer Service and Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and maintaining clear and concise documentation of all incidents and service requests
- Basic Windows Server troubleshooting experience
- Clean driving record and valid Class 5 BC driver's license required
Technical Skills - Nice to Have:
- Virtualization experience
- RMM/PSA experience
- Group Policy experience
- Azure AD Connect experience
- Microsoft Certifications (ie. Microsoft 365 Foundations, Microsoft Azure Foundations, etc)
- Other Industry Certifications (ie. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
