Job Summary

CancerCare Manitoba is a leading healthcare organization that provides comprehensive cancer care services. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team in the Psychosocial Oncology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical counselling services to patients and families affected by cancer
  • Assess and address the psychosocial needs of patients and families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in education and research activities to improve cancer care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) from a Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE) accredited school/faculty
  • Minimum of three years of clinical counselling experience
  • Registration or eligibility for registration by an appropriate licensing body
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other relevant software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical counselling experience in a healthcare environment
  • Masters Degree in Social Work or other counselling related discipline
  • Ability to speak French
