Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Over-the-Counter Associate at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales and profitability of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with their queries, resolve issues, and provide a positive shopping experience.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the pharmacy department, by rotating stock, checking for expired products, and zoning the department.
  • Sales and Profitability: Maximize department sales and profit by following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  • Equipment Calibration: Calibrate equipment used in the prescription filling process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the pharmacy department.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash, operate a cash register, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and profitability goals.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous Retail Experience: Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a pharmacy or customer-facing role.
  • Pharmacy Knowledge: Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription filling and inventory management.
