Seeking experienced Senior Engineer/Senior Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects and oversee contract administration for critical city contracts.
The Transportation Services Division's Operation and Maintenance Contract Development, Delivery, and Inspections Unit is responsible for preparing scopes of work, contract documents, and developing specifications and cost estimates for operational and capital projects.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager of the Contract Development, Delivery Area 1 and provide project management, contract administration, and technical expertise in the planning, construction, and operations of transportation infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the contract administration for critical city contracts, preparing scopes of work, contract documents, and developing specifications and cost estimates for operational and capital projects, and leading a multi-disciplinary project team.
Key qualifications include post-secondary education in transportation planning, civil engineering, construction, or project management, extensive experience in contract development and delivering large operations and construction contracts, and a valid Province of Ontario Class "G" Driver's Licence.
The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, demonstrated supervisory competencies, and the ability to coach, hold accountable, mentor, engage, and motivate staff.
