About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst I to join our team at TD Bank Group. As an Actuarial Analyst I, you will play a key role in establishing the rating strategy for our general insurance products, ensuring that our pricing aligns with business objectives and complies with jurisdictional premium regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Pricing Strategies: Determine the rating level and classification criteria required to reach growth and profitability objectives, and implement rate changes to achieve these goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Participate in the production of regulatory rate change submissions and ensure that all pricing activities are in compliance with jurisdictional premium regulations.
  • Risk Management: Support and implement best practices and controls to mitigate risk, and apply existing processes, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our pricing data.
  • Tool Development and Analysis: Contribute to the development of tools and analysis techniques to support pricing decisions and improve the efficiency of our pricing processes.
Requirements
  • Actuarial Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Property & Casualty actuarial work.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Completion of all preliminary professional exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of Excel, proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, VBA, R, and Python, and experience with predictive modeling.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, analytical and synthetic thinking, customer-centric approach, and ability to work in a team environment.
