We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team at CA007 Mercer (Canada) Limited. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing actuarial services to our clients, including retirement and post-retirement benefits actuarial valuations, benefit calculations, and pension administration.
Key Responsibilities- Perform actuarial valuations, including data validation, analysis of plan gains and losses, and preparation of valuation reports.
- Conduct benefit calculations, review plan documents, and produce employee benefit statements.
- Participate in the design and pricing of client employee pension plans and executive pension benefits.
- Produce experience studies to refine demographic and financial assumptions used in actuarial valuations.
- Design and implement strategies to manage defined benefit pension plan volatility.
- Work in an integrated team to resolve modern actuarial problems in the Canadian retirement benefits landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, administration, or a related field.
- Superior analytical skills and working knowledge of Excel and other MS-Office software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to develop new skills.
- Strong aptitude for teamwork and adaptability to meet deadlines and accommodate shifting client needs.
- Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
