Technical Sales Representative-Outside Sales

About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy individual to provide field technical sales support to our customers in Eastern Ontario, Trois Rivieres, Quebec City, and Atlantic Canada. As a Technical Sales Representative-Outside Sales, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing top-quality field technical sales support to customers for filtration products and systems
  • Prospecting and generating sales opportunities and leads
  • Establishing and maintaining professional business relations with new and existing customers
  • Visiting customers to review products & applications, evaluate and recommend custom filtration solutions to suit individual customer needs
  • Managing CRM and participating in joint calls with management, suppliers, and other division representatives
  • Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with supplier and factory information

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a technical field
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French
  • Minimum 1-3 years' outside sales experience – industrial filtration products; preferred
  • 3-4 years' experience with industrial system review and calculations
  • A hunter mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processes
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills and experience preparing professional PowerPoint decks
  • Valid Driver's License

Desirable Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of industry products, systems, and applications
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems

Work Environment

As a Technical Sales Representative-Outside Sales, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with daily customer and inter-departmental/branch communication via telephone calls, faxes, emails, and virtual meetings. You'll also have exposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptions.
