Magnum Services is seeking a highly skilled Cement Supervisor to manage day-to-day field primary and remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure successful cementing jobs are executed according to design/client specification.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location, executing cement jobs in accordance with the cementing operations process flow, and ensuring efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
The Cement Supervisor will also be responsible for communicating effectively with clients and internally with other departments, maintaining operation and service standards, and adhering to and enforcing company Safety policies and ensuring compliance with HSE legislation.
The ideal candidate will have a valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record, be physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects, and be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
The successful candidate will also have good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, as required, and be able to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location.
- Execute successful cementing jobs according to design/client specification.
- Execute cement jobs in accordance with the cementing operations process flow.
- Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments.
- Maintain operation and service standards.
- Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
- Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports.
- Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high level of service.
- Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships.
- Work with management to improve policy and procedures.
- Verify load tickets.
- Supervise a crew on basic primary cement jobs.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate any two of the core pieces of equipment.
- Complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP (Magnum's internal competency evaluation program).
- Participate in training and development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects.
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
- Able to be on call 24 hours on a rotational schedule.
- Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
- Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
- Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, as required.
- Able to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.
- Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
