Cement Operations Manager

At Magnum Cementing Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cement Supervisor to join our team. As a Cement Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of cementing operations on location and at the shop.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and Mentor Personnel: Supervise and mentor personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location.
- Execute Cementing Jobs: Execute successful cementing jobs according to design/client specification, understand rigging in/out procedures, and execute cement jobs in accordance with the cementing operations process flow.
- Ensure Efficient Operations: Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations, including critical tasks such as measuring the density of cement, collecting samples, and utilizing radios on location.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments, including Sales and Dispatch.
- Adhere to Safety Policies: Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports, or other reporting, as required.
- Implement Procedures: Implement and maintain procedures to ensure a high level of service.
- Develop Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
- Improve Policies and Procedures: Work with management to improve policy and procedures.
- Verify Load Tickets: Verify load tickets.
- Supervise Crew: Supervise a crew on basic primary cement jobs.
- Operate Equipment: Demonstrate the ability to operate any two of the core pieces of equipment.
- Complete Competency Evaluation: Complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP (Magnum's internal competency evaluation program).
- Participate in Training: Participate in training and development activities.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Abilities: Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Weather Conditions: Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
- Availability: Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change due to market conditions).
- Confined Spaces: Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
- Eligibility: Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
- Computer Skills: Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, as required.
- Calculations: Able to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.
- Compliance: Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.
- Equipment Maintenance: Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- Team Player: Team player and customer service focused.
- Initiative: Demonstrated initiative and results orientated.
- Oilfield Tickets: Possesses oilfield tickets.
- Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated continuous improvement.
- Cement and Bulk Equipment: Experience operating cement and bulk equipment.
- Equipment Rebuilding: Ability to rebuild equipment.
- Report Completion: Experience in the completion of reports.
- Customer and Dispatch: Experience in dealing with customers and dispatch.
