Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide respiratory therapy services to patients in various settings, including intensive care units, emergency departments, and operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with airway management and respond to cardiac and respiratory arrests
  • Administer aerosolized and MDI medications as prescribed
  • Participate in teaching patients the use of respiratory therapy equipment for hospital and home care use
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as bedside spirometry and oxygen saturation
  • Assist with bronchoscopies and manage ventilated patients according to departmental protocols
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist in Adult Critical Care preferred
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists
  • Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • Certified Hyperbaric Medical Technologist (CHT) preferred
