Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Developer to join our team at Home and Community Care Support Services. As an Application Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing software applications to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Research, design, and implement software applications to meet business requirements.
  • Database Management: Refine database design, develop and maintain databases, and ensure data integrity.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform integration and functionality testing to ensure software applications are bug-free.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical direction and oversight to Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff for critical applications and technology issues.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with stakeholders to identify design and development requirements, and ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and quality throughout the design/development lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Education: Greater than two (2) year college degree in computer science, application development, computer systems engineering, software engineering, web design, or a field related to the industry from a recognized college or university.
  • Experience: Greater than one (1) year experience in information systems development using Microsoft SQL Server, Net Framework, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Safe, IIS, ASP, and ASP.Net.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Ontario Health atHome business strategies, objectives, priorities, and programs, and related Business Solutions and Information Technology priorities and plans.
  • Language: English (required), French or another second language (an asset).
