Job Summary

MCKESSON is seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, identify care needs, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, including biologics and specialty pharmaceutical products, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and provincial College of Nurses standards.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on their condition, medication, and self-care techniques to promote independence and empowerment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient care services and maintain records in accordance with MCKESSON policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience as a Registered Nurse, with a degree or equivalent.
  • Certifications and Designations: Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of British Columbia, Canada, and relevant certifications, such as infusion certification or ACLS.
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent assessment and clinical decision-making skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
