We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at BC Cancer. As an Oncology Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing holistic nursing care to patients with cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, intervention, and symptom management.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as required by the care plan.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to BC Cancer policies and Centre directives.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to apply it in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of and commitment to reconciliation and Indigenous cultural safety.
