Beendigen Anishinabe Women's Crisis Home and Family Healing Agency is seeking a Program Support Assistant to assist with the administration of day-to-day operations in Beendigen Programs and Program Manager.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Maintain inventory system and order office supplies.
    • Assist with day-to-day operations of Beendigen Programs.
    • Perform basic cleaning duties at the office.
    • Set up meeting rooms for staff and other meetings.
    • Develop and maintain best practices, guides, and manuals for Beendigen programs.
    • Answer phone calls and emails.
    • Shop for office supplies.
    • Assist with database maintenance and training.
    • Process financial documents.
    • Maintain records.
    • Book flights and accommodations.
    • Coordinate team activities.
    • Conduct research.
    • Create training materials.
    • Perform data entry.
    • Assist with planning and executing program events.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Accuracy of data entered.
  • Contribution to the implementation of the organization's strategic plan.
  • Personal responsibility to increase sensitivity and awareness of the organization's cultural component.
  • Enhanced skill level through training and development.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Administration.
  • High school diploma with minimum two years' experience in Business Administration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of administrative documents, procedure documents, and operating manuals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of databases, computers, and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time, and general management skills.
  • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Assets:

  • Experience working in an Indigenous organization.
  • Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree, or Cree.
  • Education or experience in the social services field.

Working Conditions:

  • Program Support Assistants work in an office environment.
  • May work in non-standard workplaces due to the organization's mission.
