**Job Summary**

The King's University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in our 4-year BSc Psychology program. Our new BSc Psychology program builds on our successful BA Psychology programs and offers students a rich and rigorous study in psychology with an emphasis on its relationship to human physiology.

**Key Responsibilities**

The ideal candidates will bring with them a dedication to excellence in teaching and in research. Candidates will demonstrate an ability to teach a variety of courses in psychology, including topics such as growth and development, biopsychology, neuropsychology, or psychopharmacology.

**Teaching Responsibilities**

Teach the equivalent of 6 courses per year in undergraduate programming, including:

  • Teaching courses in growth and development, biopsychology, neuropsychology, or psychopharmacology
  • Developing and implementing curriculum to meet the needs of students

**Research Responsibilities**

Engage in an ongoing scholarly research program, including:

  • Conducting research in psychology, including quantitative or qualitative approaches
  • Developing and implementing research projects with undergraduate students

**Service Responsibilities**

Provide ongoing service to the Psychology department, the Faculty of Social Science, and the greater university community and external stakeholders, including:

  • Participating in departmental and faculty meetings
  • Contributing to the development of departmental and faculty policies

**Student Engagement**

Create connections and develop relationships with students through advising, research supervision, and mentoring, including:

  • Providing academic advising to students
  • Supervising undergraduate research projects

**Faith Integration**

The successful candidate will demonstrate a growing and evolving ability to articulate the connection between psychology and the Christian faith. Their approach would welcome diverse students and colleagues into a shared project of understanding our society and our times in the light of core faith commitments and values.

**Interdisciplinary Collaboration**

The successful candidate will have a solid grounding in quantitative or qualitative approaches to scholarly research and will welcome the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary and collegial environment that also values autonomy and scholarly development.
