Claims Associate

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Claims Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our inventory is properly managed and that our customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in shrink prevention by scanning damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date returns, vendor return requests, recalls, paperwork, packing, and shipping, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company guidelines.
- Handle SORT and Global Donation Merchandise.
- Ensure safety practices are followed, including proper disposal of chemicals, maintaining a clean claims area, and adhering to ladder usage and lifting techniques.
- Monitor merchandise returns through claims and protect assets by ensuring proper process and handling to minimize charge backs.
- Record and monitor returns and shrink wins within the store.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, guidelines, and processes regarding damaged and recalled merchandise.
- Ensure the Return Manual is followed, keeping claims current, minimizing charge backs, and completing Vendor Return Request Forms for claims over 45 days old.
- Complete GM CVP tasks.
- Provide support to Office Support Associate and Direct Store Delivery Associate as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
