Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Attendant to join our team at The Westin Ottawa. As a Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort guests to their rooms, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property, providing assistance with luggage and other needs.
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, as well as local areas of interest and activities.
  • Identify and explain room features to guests, including the use of room keys, mini-bars, and other amenities.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell areas.
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval, ensuring guests' belongings are safe and secure.
  • Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting with loading/unloading luggage.
  • Supply guests with directions and arrange transportation as needed, recording advance transportation requests as necessary.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No related work experience necessary, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time, and move around the property as needed.
