Calgary, Alberta, Canada M3 Development Management Full time
Salary:

M3 Development Management is searching for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in the Calgary office. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, this role offers the opportunity to manage complex projects. This role requires a blend of leadership and technical skills to drive project success and team growth.

A Day in the Life:

At M3, no two days will look alike. As one of our Senior Project Managers, you get to determine what each day will look like for you. A foundation based on process gives you the autonomy to determine if you are going to work with contractors to schedule updates, mentor a team member, problem-solve to stop scope creep, update those milestone submittals, or buckle down to get that monthly progress report completed. Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Manage all phases of a project's lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring technical standards and client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Provide strategic direction in project planning, execution, and monitoring. Lead, supervise, and mentor project staff.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. Chair key meetings and drive effective communication and scope management.
  • Engage in business development activities and foster relationships with potential new clients.
  • Seek to enhance processes across the company, champion innovation, and uphold technical excellence in all project phases.

On your resume and cover letter, we'll be looking for the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary qualification in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of postgraduate experience in project management, construction, cost consulting, or development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing and developing teams.
  • Extensive experience in managing project timelines, resources, costs, and risks.

During the interview process, we'll be looking for:

  • How you share our value set; from a love of both work life and home life, to how you listen thoughtfully and challenge ideas to demonstrate that you aren't afraid to speak your mind, and how you stand tall, follow through – even when the going gets tough.
  • Your previous Project Management experience working in fast-paced environments and how you slowed things down to get to a solution, focused on collaboration, and looked for the less obvious.
  • Expanding on the technical proficiencies and project you outlined in your resume

Why Join M3?

We believe in culture; and not just because that's what we "should" say, but because we know it's what truly sets us apart. We've got our eyes set on growth, but in the right way. We know that culture is defined as the worst behaviour we are willing to tolerate.

We are not okay with average. This isn't just externally with our owners, developers, lenders, and investors – it's internally with our team members too. We aren't consultants or advisors – we're partners who sit squarely in the business of execution ensuring we deliver real results.

In return for a great effort, you will be rewarded with:

  • A highly competitive salary that matches your role and experience.
  • Ability to participate in a bonus program.
  • Excellent paid time off (we do believe in living to work rather than working to live).
  • A collaborative, high-performing team that isn't afraid of rolling up their sleeves.
  • Investments in you; tell us where you want to grow to, and we'll help you get there
  • An environment based on inclusivity and respect, dedicated to the diversity of thought, and a commitment to equity.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Send us your cover letter and resume online in one document, showcasing your talents and why you're ready to make a move in new and exciting ways While we intend to get back to everyone to let you know that we've received your resume, we'll only be contacting those who follow the application process and outline their experience as outlined.
