About the Role
  • Provide information, support, and assistance to clients
  • Manage and coordinate a high volume of cases
  • Act as a liaison and maintain networks to advocate for the needs and interests of clients
  • Participate in projects, committees, and public education activities
  • Prepare statistical reports
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver services to victims of crime and marginalized/vulnerable clients, meeting their unique needs
  • Work with victims/witnesses of crime, specifically in cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, homicide, and death-related cases
  • Apply program policies, relevant legislation, and guidelines to assess client risks and develop effective plans of action
  • Network effectively with community agencies, work with diverse communities, and be sensitive to their needs
  • Manage a large caseload independently, prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skills in providing services to victims of crime and marginalized/vulnerable clients
  • Proven experience working with victims/witnesses of crime, specifically in domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, homicide, and death-related cases
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and demonstrated skills in providing services to victims of crime and marginalized/vulnerable clients
  • Ability to deal with client issues, interact with stakeholders, and recommend service improvements
  • Ability to work effectively in an inclusive team environment, including colleagues, criminal justice partners, and community agencies
