About the RoleThe Assistant Production Manager will play a critical role in managing daily production activities, focusing on coordinating with the materials team for manpower planning and working closely with the quality team to address non-conforming parts. This role also supports the Production Manager in overseeing production activities, managing resources, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and optimizing processes to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Support: Assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
- Team Leadership: Assist the Production Manager in leading and motivating production staff, including setting goals, providing feedback, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manpower Coordination: Assist the Production Manager in collaborating with the materials team to ensure optimal manpower allocation based on production needs and inventory levels.
- Documentation: Support the Production Manager in maintaining accurate production records, including production schedules, quality reports, and safety logs.
- Quality Management: Work closely with the quality team to manage the disposition of non-conforming manufactured parts.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality output.
- Communication: Ensure effective communication between all shifts and departments.
- Education: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' of automotive experience
- Skills: Excellent knowledge of computer software, including MRP and Microsoft Office
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written
