**Field Data Collector (Term) Job Description**

Collect utility pole and customer premise information using a state-of-the-art GIS handheld unit, working independently 90% of the time, in various field locations.

Job Title: Field Data Collector (Term)

MOBIA Technology Innovations is a Systems Integration company with multiple business unit areas. We are currently recruiting a Field Data Collector in various locations.

**Job Responsibilities:**

• Capture utility pole and customer premise information using a state-of-the-art GIS handheld unit
• Plan day efficiently to provide accurate, comprehensive data with approved guidelines
• Spend approximately 90% of time outdoors
• Work independently 90% of the time
• Collaborate with other departments to provide timely high-quality data

**Requirements:**

• Ability to navigate environmental terrain and tolerate various weather conditions
• Ability to work outside 90% of the time
• Ability to work independently 90% of the time
• Completion of post-secondary education
• Valid G driver's license with clear driving history
• Proficiency with MS-Office and ability to learn new systems and software programs
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Technical aptitude for digital hand-held devices and mobile app software

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience in a telecommunications environment
• Experience working with GIS devices, like Trimble or IKE GPS units
• Experience in outside plant engineering
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• 1-2 years of experience working as a Land Surveyor
