MOBIA is seeking a skilled Field Data Collector to join our team. As a Field Data Collector, you will be responsible for capturing utility pole and customer premise information using a state-of-the-art GIS handheld unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute data collection activities in various field locations.
  • Use GIS handheld units to capture accurate and comprehensive data.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Travel to various locations, including remote areas, to collect data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and high-quality data delivery.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Ability to navigate environmental terrain and tolerate various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office and ability to learn new systems and software programs.
  • Valid G driver's license with a clear driving history.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Technical aptitude for digital hand-held devices and mobile app software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a telecommunications environment.
  • Experience working with GIS devices, like Trimble or IKE GPS units.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a Land Surveyor.
