Hotel Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Sun City Hotels Ltd O/A Best Western Premier. As a Hotel Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
- Recruit and hire staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage personnel
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service
- Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies
- Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities
- Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability
- Prepare marketing plans to attract new customers and increase revenue
- Implement marketing activities to promote the hotel and its services
- Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the hotel's facilities are well-maintained
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency
- Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist clients/guests with special needs, providing exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and revenue
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in hotel management or a related field
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
