Who we need

The Bilingual IT Technician Level 1&2 (Systems Specialist) will be accountable to provide support for a suite of services including desktop and hosted solutions, local LAN/Desktop and application support to our clients and our internal technology users.

You will be tasked with delivering technical solutions and following up with ongoing support as needed. In addition, you will also focus on minimizing downtime and impact during support activities.

What you will do
  • Maintain technology infrastructure (Windows based servers and workstations, routers, switches, VPN, network cabling, Exchange, Active Directory, Citrix, etc.);
  • Troubleshoot network issues, isolating and correcting them in a timely fashion;
  • Provide technical support to end users;
  • Assist Credit Union Technical support staff by providing them with 2nd level support;
  • Install/upgrade/replace/repair network hardware as required (Servers and workstations);
  • Create and maintain network user accounts, shares, and security;
  • Test, image, and install desktops to end users;
  • Assess the needs for system upgrades/changes to better serve business activities;
  • Insure routine OS patches, upgrades, and maintenance on Windows servers in a production environment;
  • Assist management and offer input regarding IT-related purchases;
  • Evaluate new software/hardware;
  • Keep systems running efficiently and according to the SLAs, ensuring the integrity of production applications and client data;
  • Ensure that security best practices are maintained and enforced during all support activities;
  • Support the team on all other activities.


What you will bring

The education and the experience. Relevant degree, certifications, or equivalent education plus related work experience of 3 years min. in a similar technical role.

The skills and the drive. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable dealing with business leaders, clients, suppliers, peers, and colleagues. Flexible, adaptable, organized, and able to multitask. Good Customer Service skills and People person.

The working knowledge.
  • LANs, WANs, Servers, and PC desktop service and support in Windows Environments, including knowledge of Active Directory in a multi-domain environment;
  • Virtualization technologies: Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWARE and Virtual box;
  • Remote Citrix software, Citrix Receiver connectivity;
  • Knowledge on SharePoint On Line and administrative tasks;
  • Symantec End Point Protection setup and administrative tasks;
  • Advanced or expert level in MS 365 (administer users and distribution lists), Cisco AnyConnect clients, VPN software;
  • Maintain network devices in a High Availability Production Datacenter including Cisco ASA firewalls, switches, and IP;
  • Proficient with peer-to-peer (firewall) IPSEC VPN Tunnels, including the ability to setup new ones and maintain/troubleshoot issues with the existing ones;
  • Solid understanding of the TCP/IP networks, routing and switching essentials;
  • Basic Understanding of the VOIP system essentials;
  • Working knowledge of Wi-Fi setup and security;
  • Knowledge of security risks and how to mitigate those risks in Windows network environments;
  • Must be able to plan, implement and execute disaster recovery plans;
  • Understanding of physical network infrastructures including patch panel management, cat5e, cat6 cabling;
  • Ability to diagnose PC and Server hardware issues.
