We're looking for a Field Claims Representative III to join our team in the London region. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Investigating relatively complex commercial and personal lines property claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with customers, contractors, consultants, and other related parties.
- Handling field tasks on behalf of telephone adjusters.
- Providing a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answering queries relating to the claims process.
- Documenting the claim file by meeting with all involved parties and obtaining appropriate reports and statements from customers, appraisers, third-party adjusters, claimants, witnesses, police, and other pertinent experts to determine coverage.
- Analyzing the information gathered, interpreting insurance policy wording, determining coverage, assessing damage.
- Within established authority limits, negotiating with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims.
- Maintaining current knowledge of insurance products, as well as appraisal or investigation.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A university degree or college diploma, or equivalent business experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience handling personal and commercial property claims, with at least partly acquired experience directly in the field.
- Demonstrated passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and goal orientation, capable of working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- The ability to travel on short notice.
