Meat Department Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Stocker to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Stocker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized meat department, ensuring that all products are properly stocked and rotated, and providing excellent customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities- Zoning the department to ensure efficient product placement and customer flow.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
- Ensuring that all merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance to customers.
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and fill prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from customers as required.
- Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.85. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
