Document Control Specialist role supports Document Control functions for Transit projects, requiring attention to detail and organizational skills.

As a Document Control Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the printing and distribution of engineering drawings and documents, performing system maintenance, and maintaining a computer database of filed documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates the printing and distribution process for engineering drawings and documents
  • Performs basic system maintenance and access requests
  • Maintains a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents
  • Organizes and sets up new projects with approved directories with appropriate security levels
  • Works with Project Managers to structure document and submittal logs with the proper reviewers/approvers and due dates
  • Monitors and follows up on past due documents and submittal deliverables
  • Compiles documents for submission to Client

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience working engineering or construction projects
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Experience with Document Management software
  • Experience working with MS Excel and other office products
  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
