Field Service Technician IV Join Our Team as a Field Service Technician IV

Role Summary

The Field Service Technician IV will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service and technical expertise at our service locations. If you're a skilled technician with excellent communication skills, a passion for adventure, and a customer-first approach, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities
  • Support pre-production vehicle builds, assisting cross-functional teams
  • Travel to locations to support service needs, including production plants
  • Operate remotely until local service centers open, if applicable
  • Follow Rivian repair procedures with efficiency and quality
  • Perform complex diagnoses, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of repairs
  • Perform necessary parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory
  • Stay up-to-date with technical skills and required training
  • Support campaigns and containment initiatives
  • Maintain accurate expense reporting
  • Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in a dynamic environment
  • Provide service support to the field to support the Service organization
  • Communicate with a high level of professionalism in a customer-facing environment
  • Additional plant support, including travel, may be required depending on business needs
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school preferred
  • Leadership, mentorship, and influencing a team experience preferred
  • 5+ years of automotive experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working on vehicle high-voltage systems and HV diagnostic work preferred
  • Proficient in navigating a laptop or computer in a Windows or Mac environment
  • Experience using test tools, including PICO-Scope, PCAN, and KavaserMemorator
  • Extensive experience in bumper-to-bumper diagnosis and repair
  • Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with attention to detail
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English
  • Ability to see, read, and interpret documents, including governmental regulations and safety rules
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Availability for a regular schedule of at least 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
