Electrical Field Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Field Technologist to join our team in Edmonton and Calgary. As a key member of our Field Services team, you will be responsible for leading project teams and field projects, ensuring superior client experiences through commissioning, repair, and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams and field projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Commission, repair, and maintain primary and secondary power equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and site interface.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are available for projects, and coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Provide project status updates to management and escalate awareness of issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Develop site strategies and adjust timelines as needed to ensure project success.
  • Responsible for site quality and document reviews, and meet with management to review project execution.
  • Complete technical reviews and generate reports, and support invoicing to ensure inclusion of applicable extras for work performed.
  • Provide feedback to management on project execution and employee performance onsite, and integrate junior employees into projects in a safe manner.
  • Ensure all safety policies are adhered to at all times.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Technologist, Field Technician, Power System Electrician, or Electrical Engineer.
  • Hands-on field experience commissioning, testing, or maintaining power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers.
  • Broad knowledge in commercial, industrial, and utility environments.
  • Electrical Engineering degree, PSE (Power Systems Electrician) or CET (Certified Engineering Technologist), and NETA certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience leading engaged and productive project teams.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays.
