Woods Administrator

Wood Administrator role available in Slave Lake, Alberta, with West Fraser, a leading producer of sustainable wood-based building products.

West Fraser's North Central Woodlands division is seeking a Wood Administrator to lead safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sound forestry operations in the Slave Lake and High Prairie regions of Alberta. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Superintendent and be responsible for managing log truck and driver data, verifying daily load deliveries, and overseeing the truck and driver management system.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a self-starter and self-motivator, and possess technical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills. Knowledge of Windows 7 and later, as well as Microsoft Office software, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data collection and registration of log trucks and drivers
  • Verifying daily load deliveries
  • Data entries for log haul
  • Assigning and creating log truck placards
  • Oversee the truck and driver management system

Requirements:

  • High School diploma, post-secondary diploma is an asset
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
  • Knowledge of/Experience with Windows 7 and later
  • Knowledge of/Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be highly motivated with proven organization and prioritization skills
